Mailing-List: contact bianca-planning-help@bianca.org; run by ezmlm From: "Christina Noren" Subject: bmplanning meeting 8/2 - give us your futons Date: Fri, 03 Aug 2001 22:05:19 -0700 **** First, Bianca needs old last mile futons**** **** Second, Bianca needs FOUR couches**** **** Third, Bianca needs loose cushions**** and here's the skinny on yesterday's meeting: $$ Budget We had $2559 at the beginning of the meeting, of which $2000 was being held by JD, Imber & Todd. We received an additional $100 at the meeting and noted pledges of $141 & $60, bringing our total purse to $2860. Imber planned to bring Steve the cash after the meeting. We estimate that we'll need: $1500 for the 24' truck (we can afford only 1!) $800 for gennie + fuel (assuming a little trickery with the meter and a 10 or 25k gennie) $400 for tix trade for the sound system ++++++ $2700 before even considering food and incidentals. Space Budget With only one truck, we need to be more careful about volume. The main issue is fitting enough comfy seating in. We roughed out the truck load: 4' depth sound system 5' depth kitchen and tools including crates (we're not taking the big cabinet but are taking two donated smaller metal cabinets that could even fit atop a car if necessary.) poles, lumber & dancefloor form a bottom layer 2' high remaining 7'x 15' space to be used for seating including: 4 couches 4 booths from building resources 8-12 2.5'x7'x8" crates to form bases for futons (I have these) lotso futons lotso loose pillows Saturday pre-BM load The truck will make 3 stops: sound, Rose's, Form's. All items in other locations should be transported to Form's in advance. Truck rental We were unclear as to whether Susan had actually reserved the truck. Todd (Scout) is going to reserve one and will rent it unless Susan already has her reservation. If we have two reservations it is easy enough to cancel. Other DTodd agreed to handle lighting control setup so we can play the chandeliers Dan Haskovec agreed to work on laying out electrical for lights We're settled on the shack layout facing the narrow side of the shack to the playa and the long side to the street, with openings in both places, and the DJ booth and Kitchen centered at the back. Manessa and Patrick will set up the kitchen with plans from Wendy JD agreed to pick up the generator; Imber agreed to reserve it on her creditcard Jen and I are completing chandeliers and dividing screens this coming week Chandelier xmas lights arrived - clear, amber & purple Still counting on Lori for coralling old fabric and Susan for pink wall fabric We're assuming the theatre seating is coming in the neo-lovedodge _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
