STORAGE/YARD SALE ----------------- We talked about this, decided what to do, talked about it again, decided the same thing, and did that two or three more times. I'm sure there'll be another few go-rounds on the list, but here's the current plan, which looks quite a bit like the previous plan (with the addition of a basement): 1. collect money for May storage bill (Laurie) 2. Sunday 4/22: organize Roses' basement to allow all bianca storage to fit easily and without impacting Tracy's projects down there (Imber) 3. rent truck big enough to fit all storage items (who?) 4. Friday 5/18: haul just about everything to the Houseness, leave it in the truck overnight (Imber, Freeform, others) 5. Saturday 5/19, 9 AM: yard sale begins. Anything that's not for sale stays in the truck. 6. Sunday 5/20, 9 AM: yard sale, day two. 7. Sunday 5/20, 6 PM: yard sale ends. All remaining items are either hauled to the dump, donated, or stored neatly in the Roses' basement. (who?) 8. storage contract ends at the end of May. The names in parentheses are the point people; they're not gonna do all of the work themselves. MOBILE SHACK ------------ Mobile shack team meeting at Freeform's at 2 PM on Saturday, April 21st (pending Freeform's approval.) FUNDRAISERS ----------- Dan mentioned a new space on Mission where Dip recently did some lights. Worthwhile to check on using Mother's; I'll call them. Daytime outdoor sounds feasable: - Stafford Lake - the place Imber didn't get married - bunkers near the Presidio - other places appropriate for weddings - main concern: how will people pay? ELECTRICAL/LIGHTING & GENERATOR ------------------------------- Generator team (if seperate from electrical/lighting team) is Dan, Todd, J.D. (no Freeform this year.) Last year the generator was $2500 including fuel (Steve will check to make sure that's the right number.) We talked about switching to some smaller generators. We could twist three different colored strands of x-mas lights together in the panhandle across from the (k)asa, then wrap 'em on spindles for easier unrolling and hanging later. Must test each strand first. Okay to sell some x-mas lights, we have tons, not all work. Need to find out where the generator was rented from, etc. KITCHEN ------- Abandon old fridge in favor of s5's orange, not-nearly-as-old fridge (which is larger, lighter, and surely more efficient)? Manessah is buying fun aprons on eBay Wendy, Manessah, Laurie, and others are buying fabric for all possible purposes. CORPORATE/WHATEVER ------------------ Incorporating bianca.org bad idea because it gives shape to the formless, or something like that. Anyway, that idea has been abandoned again. However, having a company (possibly s5's) which would have a bank & paypal account for donations might be good. Corporate team: Imber, Laurie, J.D., Steve5, Steve Rice OTHER RANDOM BITS ----------------- mmm, donuts Christina's doing something with shoes. http://www.takeanumber.com/ to join !tang announce list. Mona (of Goatrodeo) will design bike racks, Todd will make sure some get built for bianca. The nooks should be semi-open -- no real privacy, just kinda out of the way. Is Freeform handling the theme camp application again? There's an unknown generator in the Roses' basement, it may be the one Dip is missing. Todd drew a sketch of the shack which is similar to 1999's layout. I'll turn it into a digital image soon. Next full meeting should occur after some of the teams have had a chance to meet and do some stuff. -- J.D.
